| Ella Bleu Travolta Mirrors Her Career After Will & Jaden Smith |

After months of seclusion, taking time to heal privately from the tragic death of their son Jett, John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston came out to celebrate the premiere of their daughter Ella Bleu’s first ever film debut in Disney’s Old Dogs.
Lucky enough to be starring in a movie with iconic stars such as Robin Williams and both of her actor parents, Ella Bleu finally received her wish to be in a movie with daddy.
Lori Laughlin, from 90210, co-stars alongside the nine-year-old newbie and exclusively revealed to OK! that John took the role only because of what his daughter asked him two days before he received the script,
According to Lori, Ella knew that Will Smith and his son had done a film together and said,”Daddy when I can I do a movie with you?”
Drawing inspiration from Will, Ella, who stars as Marley Greer in the film, was all smiles as she walked down the carpet on Monday and her parents couldn’t have been more thrilled.
John gushed to reporters standing by his beaming daughter, “It’s amazing! We are here for her.”

| More Heartbreak for Jessica Simpson |

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Girl meets boy. Girl falls hard for boy. Boy dumps girl. It’s a classic tale. But in the case of Jessica Simpson it’s more like a broken record. Ever since she split with husband Nick Lachey in 2005, the singer has been looking for love in all the wrong places – and with all the wrong guys.
The latest Mr. Wrong? Gerard Butler. The pair were spotted out with Jessica’s BFF, hairdresser Ken Paves, in NYC at the end of October, but just two weeks later Gerard was reportedly swapping spit with another lovelorn blonde — Lindsay Lohan.
So what went on between Jessica and Gerard? It was all too much, too soon. After just a couple of dates Jessica got too serious and, an insider says, Gerard ran — not walked — to the nearest exit.
“Jessica has a habit of getting too needy too soon, and she scares men away,” the pal tells BettyConfidential. “She’s desperate to not be alone and every guy she's dated since Nick complains about the same thing — she’s too needy.” ( ten thousand lifetimes together )

| Kathy Griffin to Return to Life on The D-List! |

In a decidedly A-list move, Kathy Griffin will return for a sixth season of her Bravo reality laugh-fest, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
“Let’s just say we are hoping the premiere episode will be Cher-tastic,” Griffin says of her show, which documents the comedian’s adventures in Hollywood, where she sometimes gets the star treatment and sometimes does not. In the last season, Kathy got lessons on how to be an A-lister from stars like Bette Midler, Paris Hilton and Rosie O’Donnell.
In the new season, Kathy will continue traipsing around the globe with Team Griffin, her mother, a box of wine and maybe even Levi Johnston, her rep said.
“Wasilla here we come!” Kathy says.
Shooting of the 10-episode season gets under way in January.

Tom Ford’s A Single Man trailer might have been “de-gayed,” but his interview with The Advocate certainly wasn’t. Now Ford is dishing with The Advocate about his film and his early life experience, both professionally and personally. He shares everything from working with Yves Saint Laurent to his first gay sexual experience after a night at Studio 54! “I never knew I liked men sexually until Ian came into my life. And he wasn’t just my first male kiss. The first blow job I ever gave anyone was the one I gave to Ian in the back of a cab on the way home from a night at Studio 54 as we made our way down to where he lived on Eighth Street and Fifth Avenue. Of course, it was a Checker cab.”
“But being at Yves Saint Laurent was such a negative experience for me even though the business boomed while I was there. Yves and his partner, Pierre Bergé, were so difficult and so evil and made my life such misery…I’ve never talked about this on the record before, but it was an awful time for me. Pierre and Yves were just evil. So Yves Saint Laurent doesn’t exist for me.” Source

Audrina will not be happy about this!
First Kristin Cavallari dated Patridge’s ex Justin Bobby in what turned into the nasty saga playing out on MTV’s The Hills this season. Now, it’s onto another guy, Tal Cooperman, who Patridge dated last summer.
“It’s brand new. They’re having a lot of fun enjoying getting to know each other better,” says a source of Cavallari’s relationship with the co-owner of the DCMA Collective clothing line. “It’s not for the show. They hit it off and have been hanging out off-camera.”
Cooperman and Cavallari enjoyed a date night Thursday in Los Angeles, where they were spotted partying at an ESPN bash, sharing a sushi dinner at Nobu and kissing at West Hollywood hotspot Voyeur.
“They were making out on one of the club’s VIP stages after midnight,” says a clubgoer. “They were all over each other.”
The duo made sure to keep things under wraps by leaving the club separately but only after sealing their night with a kiss.

| Britney Spears breaks her silence on the lip synching controversy - kind of |

Britney Spears is breaking her silence on the lip-synching debate that has surrounding her first Australian tour.
"I hear there is a lot of controversy in the media about my show," Spears said Tuesday in a statement. "Some reporters have said they love it and some don't. I came to Australia for my fans!"
Spears has been under fire ever since she arrived in Australia last week. The Fair Trade Minister for the state of New South Wales kicked off the controversy by saying Australians would not tolerate a "Mickey Mouse" performance by the former Disney star.
The local media then reported that fans walked out of the singer's first Australian performance last Friday after just a few songs, describing her concert as "boring" and "stiff."
While Spears' camp has defended the outcry by saying it's common knowledge that the pop star lip syncs in concert, the Musicians Union of Australia believes more should be done to let Australian concert-goers know exactly what they're paying for.
"It's not right that people are going to the concert when they are being misled," Terry Noone, the union's federal secretary, told ABC News Online. "That's the issue. It's not about music, it's about false advertising."
"It all comes back to truth and accuracy," added Noone. "There should be a message saying if things are going to be lip-synced or mimed so that people know what they're buying."
Spears is due to play the first of three sold-out shows in Melbourne on Wednesday night before continuing the rest of her Australian run.

| Kick-Ass teaser trailer |

Lionsgate has officially released the first teaser trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s big screen adaptation of Mark Millar’s comic book Kick-Ass. For those of you who haven’t been following this project, the film was produced independently and the first footage won over the thousands of people packed into Hall H at Comic-Con. The story is essentially about an average teenager named Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero.
As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).

| And then there were 61? New poll says Snowe would lose to conservative challenger in GOP primary |
[ | |
Posted on November 10, 2009 @ 6:34 pm
| | ] |
It looks like Olympia Snowe could have a pretty hard time getting nominated for another term in the Senate as a Republican.
There are now more folks in her party who disapprove than approve of Snowe's job performance. 46% of GOP voters think she's doing a bad job to 40% who give her good marks.
Snowe is still pretty popular with the liberal/moderate wing of her party, earning a 64% approval rating from them. But even in Maine 68% of Republicans are conservatives and they give her just a 29% approval rating with a 56% majority disapproving of her.
Asked how they would vote in a primary contest between Snowe and a more conservative challenger, just 31% of likely Republican voters say they would pick Snowe while 59% say they would go for the conservative alternative.
Obviously 2012 is a long ways away. Snowe could get herself back into the good graces of the Republican electorate, or a conservative challenge could fail to materialize. But given the recent successes of the Club for Growth, at least within the sphere of GOP voters, Snowe seems a pretty likely target.
Snowe's overall popularity is still decent, with 51% of voters approving of her to 36% disapproving. That owes to a 60% approval rating with Democrats and a 51% mark with independents. Even her pretty good marks with Democrats speak to the perils of moderation though- she's down from a 70% approval rating with them three weeks ago. It may be that while her actions on health care have proven to be too much for Republicans, they're not enough for some segment of the Democratic electorate.
Ultimately Snowe's future political survival may have to come as an independent- winning either party's primary could be a challenge. And the good news for her is that Maine has been unusually hospitable toward independent candidates, so it's not beyond the realm of possibility.
Primarying (is that a word?) Snowe has to be cutting off the GOP's nose to spite its face. I wonder if this will affect her health care vote . . .

PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Gov. Don Carcieri vetoed legislation Tuesday that would give same-sex couples in Rhode Island the same right to plan the funerals of their late partners as married couples.
The socially conservative Republican said the proposed protection represents a "disturbing trend" of the incremental erosion of heterosexual marriage. Rhode Island does not recognize same-sex marriage.
"If the General Assembly believes it would like to address the issue of domestic partnership, it should place the issue on the ballot and let the people of Rhode Island decide," Carcieri said in a letter to lawmakers.
Democrats hold a veto-proof majority in the Legislature and frequently override Carcieri's objections.
Sen. Rhoda Perry and Rep. David Segal, the bill sponsors, said they would seek to override the veto. They proposed the legislation after one of their constituents was unable to retrieve the body of his late partner from the state medical examiner for weeks because they weren't married or next-of-kin.
Gay rights supporters were indignant at the veto.
"It is absolutely unconscionable that Gov. Carcieri would step in the middle of people being able to take care of their loved ones at such a sorrowful time," said Kathy Kushnir, executive director of Marriage Equality Rhode Island, which advocates for gay marriage. "Why would he make it more difficult? I just don't get it."
The proposed funeral planning rights would apply to same-sex couples who have had a relationship for at least one year and pass other tests, such as owning property together. Carcieri said some of the guidelines were vague.
